This project is about abstraction and the balance of color. It began based on a grid as a way to utilize the large Springdale site. The grid builds itself up to encapsulate the massing so that it is revealed upon approach. The massing consists of two entries with a top floor connection, allowing it to float within the structure. Panels are added to the structure to create intimate spaces and assist in concealing the mass. The entire exterior is made of white steel for abstraction while the interior transitions to wood for warmness. Spaces of color start to play a role in balancing the pureness of the grid and reflect off of the white corrugated surfaces. The building then becomes a canvas for the sun.
